If you don’t want to end up with more stuff than you need or to forget an important item, you should make a list with all the essentials. Then write down all the things you plan to bring with you in college.

Before you start packing, go through all your belongings and decide what you will take with you and what you will leave. Get used to the idea that you will live in a much smaller place at college. Stick only with the essentials. Otherwise you may have problems organizing and fitting your belongings in the dorm room. Use the removal process to get rid of some of the stuff you no longer need.

It’s cheap and can fit different amount of items. Containers vary in terms of size.  Moving by plane is obviously the most expensive, but also the fastest method.

When you arrive, inspect your dorm room, house or college apartments for damages. In this way you can notify your landlord and won’t get charged of someone else’s carelessness.
